How to Make Christmas Paper Chain Decorations

This is an old traditional craft, which requires very little skill, yet is very effective. Using a paper chain for a country wedding or for lifting a party or as a part of your zero waste Christmas.
Paper chains are child play!

You will need a pair of Safety Scissors a Glue Stick  and a few scraps of paper from old books, atlases, road maps or music sheets. The video below shows the how to guide for those who enjoy reading I have included the step by step below.

First use up the strips you have left from the star decoration you will all have tried!!

Then pop the strip through the last loop

build the next loop from the last one, to create the chain.

Simply blob a bit of glue to one end and then hold between your thumb and finger for a few seconds to dry.

This will take a few seconds for each loop, so an ideal craft to build evening by evening.

Then it may look a bit like this…

Ta Da! You can make miles of chains if you have enough paper.

 

Combine these with a few other crafts and you are on to a winner! Whether these are designed as a wedding paperchain or for any other celebration they can be stored and used time and again.
